Michael is the team captain of the All-Starz and first appears in Episode 20 of Series 1, briefly shown in a shadowed screen shot where his face is obscured. In Episode 22, he is depicted as an arrogant and overconfident show-off who dislikes being questioned about his abilities, particularly by Judy and Emily. Initially, Michael places his complete trust in science, believing that skill cannot surpass it. However, in Episode 28, Max defeats him with sheer skill and power, leading Michael to realize that heart and skill are superior to science.
In G-Revolution, Michael sports a new haircut featuring long, straight blonde hair with his right eye covered by his bangs. He loses to Rick during the American eliminations of the Beyblade Championship and confronts Judy saying, "Now you have your team, so I guess you don't need us anymore." Although Michael and Rick never truly get along, they eventually learn to tolerate each other later in the series.
Michael is 16 years old in the first season and turns 18 by the third season. In the first season, his beyblade is Trygle, equipped with Fast Ball Attack, Maximum Cannon Ball Flame Attack, and Talon Attack. By the third season, his beyblade is upgraded to Trygle 2, now featuring the Super Cannon Attack.
