He is a young, hyperactive blader with a blade named Strata Dragoon (Gaia Dragoon in the original Japanese version). In the BBA tournament, he teams up with Tyson as his tag partner.
Daichi is depicted as a short kid with fiery red hair and a blue shirt paired with pants where one leg is torn at the thigh. He often faints after tough matches, which makes some believe he is still weak despite his powerful bit-beast. Daichi excels in outdoor Bey-dishes because he has trained close to nature, honing his unique style of Beyblading. His overconfidence sometimes leads to his downfall, as seen in his defeats against Kai and Ming-Ming.
In G-Revolution, Daichi is considered one of the strongest Beybladers, having beaten Rick from the PPB All Starz. He adds comic relief to the series with his fear of flying, constant eating, and playful teasing of Tyson. Although he eventually loses to BEGA League's Ming-Ming, he vows to win their next battle. Daichi plays a significant role in the film "Beyblade: The Movie - Fierce Battle," using his Gaia Dragoon to release Dark Beasts on Demon Rock Island.
At the start of the third season, Tyson is surprised to learn that Daichi also has a variant of Dragoon. Their bit-beasts can combine for an attack called the Twin Tornado Attack. According to the English version, Daichi's bit-beast is known as Strata Dragoon, and he uses several powerful attacks throughout the series. After his father's death, Daichi inherited the bit-beast, finding comfort in it just like Tyson does.
Dedicated due to his father, who was a strong forest wood cutter, Daichi lives in the forest and challenges Tyson at the beginning of the third season. Kenny observes that Daichi performs better in natural environments, while Tyson excels in regular Bey dishes. Though initially impressing Max and Ray, Kai remains unconvinced, believing Tyson to be more skilled. Despite their frequent arguments and Tyson calling him 'monkeyboy,' they remain good friends.
Dachi was a popular character in the manga, appearing in many Beyblade video games, explaining his fan-favorite status. His personality mirrors Tyson's, sharing traits like their "never give up" attitude, eating habits, and tendency to re-challenge opponents. In the manga, he has a mother named Orin and stars in his own side story, encountering rivals such as Hikaru Tomonji and Kennosuke Shishi.
