Voice actor Akira Ishida brings Masahiro to life in the Drama CD.
Masahiro experiences a vision of a man being hit by a car, but it doesn't come true! Astonished, he believes it's connected to a girl named Kanade who somehow prevented it. Motivated, he transfers to her school and discovers he isn't the only one with unusual abilities. Unlike Kanade, Masahiro can see the future at will. He quickly befriends Kanade and becomes Arou's love rival.
His transfer might seem odd to others: his previous school was a prestigious boarding school, where he consistently achieved top grades. Occasionally, Masahiro assists Kanade and Arou with their homework as their senior. However, there's a growing suspicion that he uses his clairvoyance to ace his tests.
Changing schools transformed Masahiro for the better. Before meeting Kanade, he was a pessimistic, lonely child familiar only with rejection and a harsh world. Kanade introduced him to a hopeful, idealistic world without rejection. She also made him realize his powers could (and should) be used for altruistic reasons. He even gets pets and starts laughing like any other kid.
Despite having living parents, Masahiro lives alone under the care of a guardian.
The reason why Namiki Masahiro lives alone
Masahiro is convinced his parents no longer love him—a freak of nature. His childhood memories are filled with awkward situations, mostly involving his mother. You could say his family was dysfunctional because they didn't know how to handle or raise a clairvoyant child. One thing led to another, and Masahiro became a problem child.
Unable to gain understanding from his parents, Masahiro ran away. He met a failed stockbroker named Ootake Yuusuku and persuaded him to provide shelter for the night. That night, Masahiro gave Ootake the exact stock prices for the next morning.
Three months after taking Masahiro in, Ootake tried to contact the Namiki family. He learned that if Masahiro didn't want to return home, he would remain under Ootake's care.
Later in the story, Masahiro somewhat reconciles with his family but continues living independently.
Throughout the series, Kanade and Arou are addressed by their given names, whereas Masahiro is typically referred to by his family name unless spoken to by his family or guardian.
