Cheerful and kind, Kanade often acts without fully considering the consequences, especially when attempting to alter the outcomes of her visions. This frequently puts her own safety at risk, such as when she tried to save her ex-firefighter grandfather from a burning building as a child. Occasionally, she can foresee future events. By the start of Volume 2, Kanade and Arou are already a couple, with Arou confessing his feelings for her at the end of Volume 1. Kanade appreciates Arou's cooking as much as she loves him, and they share many romantic moments together. Her relationship with Namiki is platonic. Friends call her Kanade-chan, while her teachers refer to her as Outsuka.
