Maguri serves as the vice president of the Student Council and is Takanari's best friend, affectionately calling him "Shi-zun" initially, then "Takataka" once he learns the truth about Takanari. His family has ties to the yakuza, yet he possesses a gentle side. His brother, Yūkimitsu, was the Emperor before Shizumasa. Maguri is the only member of the student council who does not kiss Haine.
At the start of the series, Maguri is rumored to be Takanari's secret lover, a rumor spread intentionally to keep other girls away from Takanari. However, when Haine becomes Takanari's girlfriend, she discovers that Maguri truly harbors feelings for Takanari. Despite this, Maguri gracefully steps aside and pursues the Mailman, only to find out it's actually Maora. Maora expresses frustration at Maguri's perceived weakness, recalling how their parents laughed at them when they were young for wanting to marry each other. Maguri realizes his love for Maora and vows to become stronger for her.
