Lum, also known in English dubs as Lamù, is a stunning Oni alien with the ability to fly and generate electrical shocks. She is immensely popular and renowned for ending her sentences with "~datcha," which loosely translates to "yes?" or "you know?"
Besides her schoolgirl uniform, she often sports a provocative outfit consisting of a tiger-striped bikini and knee-high go-go boots. While generally good-natured, sweet, and innocent, Lum has a fiery temper. Her life's dream is to live in a "Sweet Home with Darling," where she takes care of the household and raises babies while Ataru works.
Unfortunately, Lum's idea of cooking involves taking extremely spicy ingredients like jalapenos, cayenne peppers, and Tabasco sauce and irradiating them with an alien energy bazooka until they turn into inedible, crystallized nuggets. As an alien, she has access to numerous bizarre gadgets, but she doesn't fully understand how to use them, leading to humorous situations.
Differences between human and "Invader" physiology are frequent plot points, such as when Lum's horns grow larger after being bitten by a cow, or when she becomes intoxicated from eating pickled plums. (Source: Wikipedia)
