Lancia is a 25-year-old Mafia criminal who was initially mistaken for Mukuro Rokudo. Born on December 15, he was adopted as a child by the leader of a Mafia family in Northern Italy. This family later took in a young Mukuro, who periodically used mind control on Lancia, even making him kill his entire adoptive family. Lancia eventually fell completely under Mukuro's control, losing his will to fight and forgetting his own name. He was subsequently captured and imprisoned.
After Tsuna defeated both Lancia and Mukuro, Lancia was freed from Mukuro's control and taken away by the Vendicare. He later returned to Japan during the Vongola Tournament, defeating most of the lower-ranking members of Varia and revealing himself as the strongest person in Northern Italy. Due to being possessed by Mukuro multiple times, Lancia became sensitive to Mukuro's thoughts. Before leaving for Italy, he gave Tsuna his family's ring.
Lancia's primary weapon is a giant steel ball attached to a chain, which he launches at enemies using palm thrusts. The ball has snake-like engravings on its surface that allow it to track and redirect air currents, creating a vortex that sucks in nearby objects. This enables Lancia to change the ball's rotation mid-air. In the anime, Lancia is voiced by Takeshi Maeda.
