Ijuuin is the creator of Misaki's favorite manga, The☆Kan. He takes his work very seriously but often misses deadlines due to his obsession with perfecting every tiny detail in his work. As the deadline for his next manga approaches, Ijuuin becomes extremely pessimistic and loses his inspiration. During these times, he is difficult to handle because he becomes disorganized, somewhat rude, and easily angered. Misaki has frequently managed to cheer him up, enabling him to continue drawing and maintain the quality of his work.
Ijuuin first met Misaki at Marukawa when he was in one of his pre-deadline slumps. Misaki gave him the motivation to keep going by sharing how much his work meant to him. Later, Misaki won a lottery to meet Ijuuin again for an autograph session. It was then that Ijuuin realized it was the same Misaki who had encouraged him three years prior. Unable to forget Misaki's kind and encouraging words, Ijuuin gradually falls for him and eventually confesses his true feelings.
