Kōji (攻児, Kouji?) is one of the bandits from Mount Reikaku and later becomes their leader when Tasuki leaves to accompany Miaka. He has known Tasuki since they were children, and although he initially had reservations about Tasuki joining the bandits, they eventually grew close. Kōji reluctantly acknowledged his respect for Tasuki. Despite being two years older and holding a higher rank among the bandits, Tasuki's role as a Suzaku Celestial Warrior destined him to be their leader.
Kōji has a unique and charming way of knocking on and answering doors. He stands out as the only member of the Mount Reikaku Bandits who does not show any interest in touching Miaka or even Nuriko or Hotohori. During the war between Kutō and Kōnan, Kōji and his bandits volunteered to fight on behalf of Kōnan. After peace is restored in Kōnan, Tasuki returns to Mount Reikaku and resumes his leadership role, though it is commonly understood that both Tasuki and Kōji share the responsibilities of leadership.
