Additionally, he serves as the chief of the Kantō Magic Association. One of his hobbies is arranging omiai for Konoka to find a future fiancé, despite her reluctance. He even offered this position to Negi at one point. His previous successful arranged marriage was between his daughter and the chief of the Kansai Magic Association (Eishun Konoe), which led to Konoka's birth and helped ease tensions between the Kansai and Kantō Magic Associations, which had been at odds due to the Kantō Association's adoption of western magic techniques.
