kendappa-ou

The Queen of the Kendappa clan, she is also Taishaku-ten's musician. Always carrying her harp, she plays beautiful melodies. Her mother, the former Kendappa-ou, was deeply in love with Yasha-ou, and her father was the Eastern General killed by Taishaku-ten during the Holy War. Despite this, Kendappa-ou values strength above all, which is why she remains fiercely loyal to Taishaku-ten, whom she considers the strongest person in Tenkai. Kendappa-ou is in love with Souma, and they have been together since she found Souma wandering in a forest. She took Souma to her palace, Gandaraja, and cared for her. When five of the Six Stars attacked the capital, it was revealed that Kendappa-ou is the last of the Six Stars and the new Jigoku-ten, Shitennou of the East. Loyal to Taishaku-ten, she fought against the Six Stars. After mortally wounding Souma, she committed suicide because she couldn't bear to live in a world without Souma. Souma tried to give Kendappa-ou her blood to grant immortality, but Taishaku-ten stopped her. In Tsubasa Chronicle Amaterasu is the Shinto sun goddess and the mythical ancestress of Japan's royal family. In Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, however, she is the Empress of Nihon and Tomoyo's older sister. Amaterasu arrives in Suwa to find Kurogane shaken by his parents' death, an event her sister foresaw in dreams. She goes to Suwa to stop the demons' attack and tries to reason with the young prince of Suwa, but it is her sister who ultimately brings him back to his senses. In the Nihon Arc, she welcomes the travelers, offering them a welcoming ceremony and inviting them to stay at Shirasaki Castle as long as they like. When Seishirou arrives, she tells Syaoran and him not to fight inside the castle. Tomoyo then casts a barrier similar to those seen in X, allowing them to fight within it. After the battle between "Syaoran" and Syaoran Li, she and her sister bid farewell to Kurogane, Fai, and "Syaoran" as they set off to search for Sakura in Clow.
