Kazuhito is married to Maika, Haine's mother. When Kazuhito was at the Imperial Academy, he served as the Vice Chairman of the student council under Emperor Itsuki. However, his life changed when he first saw Maika practicing ballet under a cherry blossom tree. She accidentally kicked him, and from that moment, Kazuhito believed she loved him too. But after witnessing her with Itsuki, he felt betrayed and orchestrated a new election, winning by exploiting the students' lack of confidence in Itsuki. As the new Emperor, Kazuhito immediately established the "Platinum" rank and bestowed it upon Maika, making her the first Platinum and declaring her his girlfriend. He almost forcefully bound her to him, but despite his cold demeanor, he genuinely loves Maika, which becomes evident in later chapters.
For a long time, Kazuhito was thought to be Haine's father until Chapter 35 revealed that Itsuki is Haine's biological father. Initially, it seemed Kazuhito didn't care for Haine because of this, and it was believed he had known about her true parentage for some time. His decision to "sell" Haine to Itsuki Otomiya appeared to be driven by financial need and a desire to return her to her real father. However, in Chapter 37, a letter he wrote to the Principal of the Imperial Academy revealed that he deeply cared for Haine's well-being. The letter also explained that he gave her to Itsuki because Haine reminded him too much of Maika, and he wanted to free Haine from the strict rules of the Kamiya family, ensuring her happiness.
