Katsumi Akagi is Ryo's neighbor and classmate. She is remarkably kind and compassionate. Katsumi also possesses a strong will and isn't hesitant to call out people when they act foolishly. Katsumi has been Ryo's closest friend since they were young, harboring secret feelings of love for him. Unbeknownst to her, she is part of an Egrigori experiment, playing a crucial role in their master plan. In fact, Katsumi was one of the original ARMS-compatible embryos, explaining her striking resemblance to Kei. However, for reasons unknown, she did not receive an ARMS implant. After Ryo's ARMS activates, Katsumi remains by his side, helping him stay calm and sane. In episode 11, Katsumi is captured by Egrigori but maintains unwavering faith that Ryo will rescue her despite her prolonged captivity. By volume 18, it appears Katsumi has been killed due to actions by Keith White and Ryo. White used Keith Green's time-space jump to place her in the path of one of Ryo's attacks. Absorbed by Alice, she later reappears alive after Black Alice's defeat, offering help to Ryo as he faces death. This brief interaction results in an ARMS core being implanted within Katsumi. Signs of its growing power manifest through disturbing nightmares and increasingly erratic behavior, leading to the massacre of a group of thugs. Katsumi's ARMS are known as "Bandersnatch" and can be seen as the nemesis to Jabberwock. At full power, she transforms into a snow-white copy of Jabberwock, capable of generating ice instead of fire. Her power is exceptional, able to freeze a town-sized area to absolute zero and create whiteouts with a mere thought, contrasting with Jabberwock's anti-matter production and flame manipulation.
