The Kakei clan has served as doctors and bodyguards to the Fuuchouin clan for 500 years. When the Fuuchouin main clan was attacked and destroyed, Juubei managed to save Kadsuki and fled with him and his sister, Sakura, to Mugenjou. There, he vowed to become stronger to protect Kadsuki. Juubei was part of Katsuki's gang, Fuuga, and later joined VOLTS. However, when Katsuki left Mugenjou, Juubei could not follow for reasons unknown.
Juubei is a skilled physician and the heir to the Kakei clan legacy. He became one of MAKUBEX's elite, known as the New Four Kings. After being betrayed and abandoned by Katsuki, Juubei continued to live in Mugenjou with his sister, who chose to remain loyal to MAKUBEX. They are among his most devoted followers.
Juubei is renowned for his needles, which he uses either to heal wounds by targeting problematic blood vessels or to kill with pinpoint accuracy. The Kakei clan's techniques have evolved to include controlling needles using magnetism. His most secretive and forbidden technique is called "Kokushin," or Black Needle.
