Ginji Amano is Midou's current partner and was once the formidable "Raitei," the leader of a gang known as "The Volts" in the Infinity Fortress. He earned the title "Raitei" (literally, "Lightning Emperor") due to his ability to manipulate electricity. This power grants him various unique abilities, including remarkable regenerative capabilities and the capacity to act as a human magnet and battery. Despite his dark past, Ginji has an unassuming, energetic, and friendly demeanor with a strong sense of justice. He makes friends easily and is trusting and open to a degree that can seem naive. However, when confronted with elements from his past, he tends to revert to his darker "Raitei" persona. For comedic effect, he often transforms into a droopy chibi version of himself, resembling a tare panda. He frequently gets comically beaten up by Ban for doing foolish things.
Little is known about his early life. It is known that his childhood guardian was Teshimine Takeru, who was the ruler of the Infinity Fortress at the time. Before leaving, Ginji established "The Volts," a gang led by The Lightning Lord, and "The Four Emperors of the Volts" to protect the Infinity Fortress from the monsters of the Beltline.
