Haruki Emishi is a follower of Volts in the Infinity Fortress. Known as the "Fresh Blood Joker" (Senketsu no Joker), he laughs whenever his enemies' blood is spilled, always killing with a smile. His combat skills often leave him drenched in his enemies' blood after battles. Shido Fuyuki once remarked that if Emishi's willpower were stronger, his might would rival that of the four Kings of VOLTS.
Emishi's weapon is a whip made from the hair of his people's women, called "Dragon's Hair." The hair is meticulously cared for before and after being woven into the whip, making it as strong and flexible as a dragon's whisker. The whip has a single grip in the middle with two lengths extending from each side. Emishi skillfully uses quick and fluid attacks like "The Spinning Top," "Venom Imitation," "Sandstorm," and "Winds of Destruction." Additionally, Emishi's blood, like all Loulan warriors, is highly combustible when exposed to oxygen, though this only works with a significant arterial flow of blood.
After VOLTS disbanded, Emishi became one of the new four kings under MakubeX's rule, chosen for his speed and combat prowess. He fought against the retrievers of IL in the Infinity Fortress. Emishi is the last male descendant of the ancient Western Chinese desert kingdom of Loulan (Rouran) capable of fighting.
He is also a good friend and admirer of Shido, who once delivered food to starving children in Emishi's village, presenting an image very different from the rumors about him.
