His ultimate dream is world domination, which most people dismiss as a childish fantasy until they witness his formidable abilities. Initially, Jio lived without friends, being forced out of his village after the death of his only friend Jin's parents, for which he was blamed. He was later trained by a wolf named Zero in the wilderness, but even after completing his training, he was driven away again, giving him the impetus to pursue his dream. His third friend came in the form of Ruby Crescent, a girl searching for her father. Initially, Jio helped her as a paid bodyguard, leaving once she ran out of money. When Ruby fought a man claiming to be Satan, the real Satan—sealed inside Jio—easily defeated him after Jio was knocked unconscious. Upon regaining consciousness, Jio agreed to follow Ruby until she could pay him for saving her. Though he claims to be just her bodyguard, Jio sees Ruby as a precious friend and possibly harbors romantic feelings for her. With Ruby as a friend, Jio became more trusting and gradually moved away from his dream of world domination, choosing instead to help others. This shift led him to gain more friends, including Mr. Wick and Mrs. Basil, whom he considers his surrogate parents. Unfortunately, Kujaku, one of the Four Guardians of Zenom Organization, murdered them. During Rock Bird, Jio was defeated by Anna in the preliminaries but advanced due to the demon inside him. After his final fight, Satan began to awaken, but Ruby calmed him. The leader of Rock Bird dubbed Ruby his 'Key' and kidnapped her. An enraged Jio, along with Ball, rescued her from the top of Rock Bird. Finding Ruby under the curse 'Devil's Pain,' Jio defeated the demonic leader, though Satan briefly took control. Shin's laser attack caused souls to leave their bodies, and Satan absorbed Ruby's soul to survive Cross's attacks. Ruby stayed within Jio to protect him from Satan. Post time-skip, Jio became the leader of the cyclops village, setting up trade routes and sending financial support so the village could thrive. He now fights alongside his crew against Zenom. A recurring joke post time-skip is that Jio always seems to forget about Ball, despite remembering everyone else perfectly. During the assault on the Stea Republic to rescue Ruby, when the group reunited, Jio was relieved that both Cross and Mei were safe but didn't seem to notice Ball standing right next to them. This either suggests that Jio is confident in Ball's ability to handle himself or genuinely forgets about him. It is also revealed that Jio hails from another planet called "Eden," the same planet where all recipes originate. He is a unique being created by Adam and Eve to counteract the effects of the "Kabbalah."
