Tokyo Babylon: Hokuto is Subaru's twin sister. She constantly teases her brother about his relationship with Seishirou and always makes jokes about a wedding, which Seishirou eagerly joins in on. Hokuto has a keen eye for fashion and creates the most elaborate costumes.
In the series, she appears in flashbacks, reflecting memories of Subaru, Seishirou, and Kakyou Kuzuki. Seven years ago, Hokuto was killed by Seishirou Sakurazuka in exchange for her brother's life. However, her final spell still needs to be fulfilled.
Her name, Hokuto (北斗), means the constellation Ursa Major in Japanese, whose brightest seven stars form the Big Dipper (Hokuto shichisei). This complements her brother's name, Subaru, which is the Japanese name for the Pleiades star cluster, resembling a smaller version of the Big Dipper.
