Hiro is speculated to be the fourth strongest blader in the series, following Kai, Tyson, and possibly Brooklyn. Hiro's first appearance was under his alter ego, Jin of the Gale, when he encountered Ray in the woods. He swiftly defeated Ray in battle. When Tyson and Daichi were at a tournament, Hiro reappeared, advising Tyson that he needed to rebuild his team to prevent the Bladebreakers from disappearing forever. After Tyson triumphed over Kotaro, Hiro told him, "Beyblading isn't about winning; it's about how you play the game." During Kai and Daichi's fight, Hiro observed Kai closely, curious about his next move. Following Kai's easy victory over Daichi with Dranzer, Mr. Dickenson announced that Hiro would be the new coach for the BBA Revolution team. Upon Tyson and Hiro's reunion, Kai turned away in apparent disapproval. In the rematch between Kai and Daichi, Kai's new Dranzer Gigs launched Daichi's Strata Dragoon Great into the air. Consequently, Dranzer flew towards Hiro, startling both Hilary and Kenny. The blue Beyblade nearly hit Hiro before crashing into the wall. As Dranzer returned to Kai, he glared at Hiro, expressing his frustration over not being able to face Tyson. While Kai battled Brooklyn, Hiro criticized Kai's skills as a blader, stating that he couldn't match Brooklyn's talent. Later, Tyson was stunned to learn that his brother had joined the BEGA league. After saving the world from Brooklyn's destructive power, Hiro returned to Tyson's side. Hiro's Beyblade seen in the anime is Metal Driger.
