Hige appears to be adept at navigating human society, even going so far as to wear a dog collar. However, it is later revealed that the collar serves as a tag and transmitter. He often relies on his intuition, though his decisions are sometimes driven by his appetite. Hige is quite the charmer and is always on the lookout for a nice girl. Among the group, he has the keenest sense of smell. It is suggested that Hige is a Himalayan wolf in the series.
Hige's name translates to "beard" or "whiskers" in Japanese.
