Revealed in chapter 67, the original Glen Baskerville was later replaced by his servant Oswald, who is also Lacie's brother and assumed the same name. Glen met Jack at his mansion after Jack found Lacie following eight years of separation. Intrigued by Jack's character, Glen provided him with a map to the mansion and permission to visit Lacie. Additionally, he tasked Oswald with investigating Jack's past. Glen is the father of both Alice's and desired one of them to merge with the core so the Baskervilles could harness its power. However, as he was soon to transform into Humpty Dumpty, he assigned Jack the duty of overseeing his experiment and using the Will of the Abyss to fulfill his wish. He corrected Alice's spelling of Oz's name, which she had written as "Os" in honor of Oswald.
After his body finally expired and he became the chain Humpty Dumpty, he entered into a contract with Celia Baskerville to protect the current Glen's (Oswald) soul.
