Ginji Matsuzaki serves as the acting wakagashira (underboss) for the Washimine Group. Currently, he operates a street stall, though he was once known as "Hitokiri Ginji" (Manslayer Ginji), an assassin famed for wielding a katana. His prowess with the blade is extraordinary, demonstrated by his ability to split bullets in mid-air. Combined with his skill in dodging gunfire from multiple adversaries, Ginji prefers not to use firearms.
For a long time, Ginji protected Yukio, hoping she could live a normal life despite her family's criminal ties. He appears to regret his past as a killer but is ready to fight again for those dear to him. Ginji meets his end in a prearranged duel with Revy after realizing that he and Yukio cannot defeat Balalaika and Hotel Moscow.
An interesting detail is that although Revy nicknames Ginji "Jumbo" due to his height, this name might also allude to Takeshi Takeda, also called "Jumbo," from the Yotsuba&! manga series, with whom Ginji shares a striking resemblance.
