Akito's father is a business executive known for his long hours and frequent absence from home. Initially, he may seem like an inattentive father, but Mr. Hayama proves to be a caring parent who was simply unaware of the strained relationship between his children due to his demanding work schedule. Upon realizing Akito's struggles and facing health issues from overwork, he starts spending more time at home. Whenever Akito encounters difficulties, Mr. Hayama consistently believes in and supports his son, even when others do not. This support might stem from his own and Akito's mother's rebellious past.
Mr. Hayama is generally calm and soft-spoken, but his rare moments of breaking out of this demeanor are quite humorous. He forms a fondness for Sana and develops a quirky habit of talking to the TV whenever she appears.
