The last of the three mercenary children assisting Chigusa, Fate is purportedly from the Istanbul Magic Association, having arrived in Japan a month before the school trip to Kyoto. However, he was actually hired by Chigusa Amagasaki for her scheme and is referred to as "Newcomer" by her. An expert in both Western and Eastern magic, Fate is highly skilled in martial arts, resembling the Chinese martial arts practiced by Negi. He is noted to be stronger and more skilled than Negi.
Fate nearly turned everyone at the Kansai Magic Association headquarters into stone and kidnapped Konoka when Chigusa's previous attempts failed. His name might not be his real one, as suggested by Eishun and confirmed by Professor Akashi’s report. After being defeated by Evangeline, along with the summoned demon god, he disappeared. Specializing in water-based and petrification spells, Fate can also perform Eastern magic such as summoning demons using ofuda.
Recently, Fate appeared outside the gate to the magic world. Upon entering the magic world by following Negi’s group, he attacked Negi by piercing him with a spear-like projectile. Along with a group of mages, Fate engaged Negi’s ministra in battle, separating them with a forceful transportation spell. They successfully destroyed the gateway to the normal world, their original mission, and later set out to destroy other gate keys. Fate and his group framed Negi’s team for this act, placing a bounty on each member of Ala Alba, making it harder for them to move freely.
Evangeline noted that Fate may not be human, suggesting he is more akin to a puppet. The intentions of Fate and his group remain unclear at this time.
