First introduced as a traveler who had collapsed due to a summer heat wave near the entrance of Shuurei's house, he was taken in by her. She invited him inside for food. Upon Seiran's return home, Ensei recognized him and referred to him as "The Little Whirlwind." It appears they have a history, though Seiran does not seem to enjoy his presence despite their seemingly friendly rapport. They were likely acquainted during Seiran's time in Brown Province. Seiran appointed him as Shuurei's temporary bodyguard while he was away fighting bandits. Additionally, Kijin assigned him as the temporary administrator for the Department of Treasury and Taxation.
