Taeko's younger cousin. She spends most of her summer working at a beachside café, which results in her being very tanned except for tan lines from her swimsuit. She notices Taeko's crush on Kaoru and frequently tries to bring them together. A few chapters after her first appearance, she develops a crush on Kaoru herself. Additionally, she is often seen naked by him during various instances.
A first-year high school student, she is energetic and tends to end up in Kaoru's bed, mistaking it for her own. She carries around a Kaoru doll and a small book with a picture of both of them. Chika is one of three members of the Swimming Club; her friends Natuki Komiya and Chizuru Aizawa are the other two.
Chika's given name means "near."
