Xane is a playable character in Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light, Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem, and their remakes. He is one of the few Divine Dragon survivors from the war against the Earth Dragons. Following the conflict, he discarded his Dragonstone and lost the ability to transform into a dragon. However, he retains a mysterious ability to shape-shift into any form except that of a dragon. He serves under Gotoh, despite differing views on humanity, and in Mystery of the Emblem, he acts as Marth's guide on his quest to reach Gotoh and follow in the footsteps of his ancestor Anri. Ultimately, though, he vanishes once more. Xane has a carefree and somewhat mischievous personality, enjoying playing jokes (at one point annoying Tiki by imitating her and repeating everything she says). He shows some sympathy for the Fire, Mage, and Earth Dragon Tribes that formed the Dolhr Empire, to the extent that he has expressed some dislike towards humans due to witnessing their mistreatment of the powerless manakete tribes in the past. At one point, he even claims to Marth that he was just an observer in the battle between Anri and Medeus. Nonetheless, Xane possesses strong senses of honor and duty, as shown by his loyalty to Marth and Gotoh, and he refused to join Dolhr when they tried to recruit him. He has a peculiar fondness for Marth, often referring to him affectionately as "Princey". He can be supportive of others, as seen in some of his conversations with Tiki. (Source: Fire Emblem Wiki)
