Even as a young child, Blanche was strikingly beautiful. By the age of seven, her beauty had already eclipsed that of her mother's. Consumed by jealousy, Blanche's mother resented her, convinced that Blanche was siphoning off all her own attractiveness. In a desperate act, she hired a hunter to eliminate Blanche, but he had fallen deeply in love with Blanche's captivating charm and helped her flee into the forest before any harm could befall her.
Despite appearances, Blanche is not merely an innocent victim. Though stunningly beautiful, she is far from virtuous. She possesses a cold, calculating nature, adept at manipulation and deception. Blanche firmly believes that her unparalleled beauty entitles her to anything she desires.
Seeking refuge with seven dwarfs in the forest, Blanche's mother, discovering her daughter's survival, disguises herself as an elderly woman and attempts to offer Blanche a poisoned apple. However, Blanche sees through the disguise and casually questions her motives. Her mother tries to persuade Blanche that she is genuinely an old lady. In response, Blanche delivers a masterful performance, recounting how her mother failed to protect her from her father's abuses. She takes a bite of the apple and collapses.
While in a deep slumber, Ludwig stumbles upon the cottage in the forest and brings Blanche back to his castle to marry her (seemingly unconcerned that she is lifeless). Miraculously, Blanche awakens and remains alive. She begins an affair with Ludwig's father and arranges for her mother's torture and execution. Attempting to kill Ludwig, she ultimately meets her own demise.
