Basilicum, commonly known as Basil, is a young disciple and subordinate of Iemitsu. He wields the blue rain attribute flame and can enter Hyper Dying Will Mode by consuming special pills created by Iemitsu. Due to rigorous training from an early age, he is highly skilled in combat. Unaware of the deception, Basil was sent to deliver fake Vongola Rings to Tsuna while Iemitsu safely transported the real ones to Japan. During this mission, he encounters Superbia Squalo and is defeated. Despite being used as a decoy, Basil remains fiercely loyal to Iemitsu and assists in training Tsuna to control the Dying Will Flame. Later, the CEDEF sends him to the future to support the Vongola. His box weapon releases a dolphin with which he can communicate telepathically. Basil has a distinctive way of speaking, using archaic terms like "thou," "thee," and "thy" instead of modern pronouns. He also addresses Tsuna and the guardians with the honorific "-dono." This unique speech pattern occasionally interferes with his ability to converse in contemporary language.
