Badou Nails is a chain-smoking freelance journalist and photographer. With long red hair and an eye-patch, Badou carries a haunting past. Seven years ago, he was attacked by Richter Berthein, resulting in the loss of his right eye. His temperament is heavily influenced by the presence of cigarettes and the level of nicotine coursing through him, causing his mood to oscillate wildly from euphoria to rage. He had an older brother named Dave, whom he assumes is deceased. Dave, also a freelance journalist, seems to be the catalyst for Badou's early smoking habit and subsequent career choice. In the series "Dogs," Badou wields a pair of Ingram MAC-10 machine pistols.
