Wow this was way darker than I expected. Seeing everyone so starved made me feel such a heavy sense of dread, especially now that I've come to like these villagers. Iori wanting to lie down with his sensei made me weep, poor kid, fatherless too. Musashi is pretty much the closest thing he can call a father figure atp.

The last panel of Musashi asking for help gave me so much chills. After all of these "i don't ask for help" shenanigans, he finally accepted his humble side. He never asked for help in this series once, so this was just beautiful character development.

Peak.

This is one of the most depressing chapters I've read. The way Inoue drew the faces of the starving villagers and the atmospheric dread surrounding them were absolutely haunting.

Things got  a little darker. Hopefully  the men will help Musashi and the villagers.

Damn what a depressing chapter......

Winter has arrived and it's started taking the first lives...

Ioring saying Lie down with me master made me nearly cry....

Musasih went.....to the Hosokawa and begs for help!!!! It's the only way to survive until harvest!

I suspect he will make a deal where he promises to go to the castle in exchange for food.

The way Inoue drews this chapter, holy moly the atmosphere was dark....

And that concludes Volume 36! 1 more to go....i am getting sad :/ But Farming Arc might rise to my fav Arc! Let's see how it finish's!

Everyone's dying. Musashi is asking for help so I suppose that he'll go to Kokura if they help the villagers.

I suppose that Musashi goes for help to the Lord, food!!!!

Yeah, indeed darker. It was kind of heavy how Iori and others were so skinny and almost dead. Inoue, you're a genius.

I don't think there are any nearby villages. And if there was maybe they wouldn't share their food

Yes but I was thinking maybe Musashi could have go hunting.

IRC, the neighbor village was also affected by the locusts.
