What an awesome chapter. I love that it focuses on how a reckless person fueled by one's ambition and hubris eventually becomes humble enough to open up to someone and build a connection with them.



Also.. is this the "Sasaki Koujiro" that was killed when Matahatchi didn't protect him from the villagers because they thought he was a spy? I think it might be as the author has a history of bringing characters back even for a chapter or two interweaving the emotional ties they bring to the more prevalent characters.
