It appears that Munisai was exactly how Musashi was before he fought Inshun - shrouding himself in fear and closing himself off from interacting with people unless it was through proving his strength through a sword. Musashi might be done for the count as Sekishusai is just toying with who he believes is his grandson when it's really Musashi. They do look alike though lol
