I realy read it every year. It's such a huge manga but the story is realy not that long. Every Event triggers other events, its like one big ongoing story. Many mangas have clear cuts, even in one issue. But this is just like a boat made out of one single piece of tree.

The illustrations look amazing! I really like Akira's style.

                        Impressive shit.. since I've heard this is far more detailed than the movie, looking forward to reading Akira. The movie didn't disappoint me though but the manga seems better.
