Highschool of the Dead Chapter 1 Discussion

I like the potential it has, except so far I just kind of want to punch Rei in the face.

I got curious and started to see this in the manga, less on the colored horror on this one but the story is what I'm up to, so nice manga I would say



1st episode from the anime is far different here, place settings, minor events

Nice bloody start and protagonist is badass!

I'm interested to know if the "it's just a flesh wound" line from Hisashi was a Monty Python reference by the mangaka, the translators or just a general saying not linked to MP.



Made me lol though.

Anyone know if this is going to be released in the US? I'd love to buy it instead of reading it online.

So I'm enjoying the anime, which is why I decided to start reading the manga.



So far I prefer the anime. SO FAR.

I almost got kind of emotional at Hisashi's death in the anime version. However, he was voiced by Miyano Mamoru. The death of any Miyano character so early on will upset me.



Shall keep reading this though.

Nice first chapter, how introduction a new bloody adventure was very nice, and the draws and disposition of the vignettes was cool to up the terror rythm in the scape!!!

Starting to read after watching the hilarious anime.



Even in the manga, Rei confuses me with her obsessive clingyness.
