It's an interesting way of doing things.

It does gives a nice example of how money works, thought the amount is exorbitant.

I wonder if transferring it to another account during the trip is considering spending it. Then I guess the manga won't enter in such details.

It's about 100 000$, about one year wage for a good job.

So yeah that's a lot of money but not as much as 10 millions actually sound.
