Hayate is so full of glee upon receiving the stone it feels more sad than anything.

Ohhhh! So the Evil Santa wasn't evil. He pitied Hayate and gave him an advice that changed his life.

Now that was an interesting chapter. This pretty much also confirms that one has to think they are misfortunate in order to open the door to the royal palace. Simply having misfortune thrust on them isn't enough. I wonder why Mikado gave Hayate the jewel though. Just in case?

Oh and Hayate's parents are still horrible people.

I lost it at the panel in which THE VILLAIN of the manga calls Hayate's dad a "human garbage". And is right. Like, what the hell…

Also, I'm thinking here. So Mikado was supposed to look for someone who'd open the way for them (him and Athena). But instead he pitied Hayate so much he gave one of the stones away and didn't tell his partner, so that Hayate could have his own chance at "the price"… Did that really happen? ChibiHayate was so miserable that the villain gave him a small chance of beating him to the unspeakable treasure?

This character just keeps getting better and better. Mikaido's a surprisingly awesome villain.

AYASAKI HAYATE OBTAINED A HAYATENITE!

THE HAYATENITE IS REACTING TO SANZENIN NAGI'S TSUNDERENESS!

AYASAKI HAYATE MEGAEVOLVED INTO MEGABUTLER!

I wouldn't go so far as calling Mikado a "villain". He and Athena are after this royal power thing, but that doesn't exactly make him a villain. He hasn't done anything "evil", and this royal power doesn't seem to belong to anyone in particular in the first place, it was just there in the palace garden place.

But yes I also lost it at the human garbage part. Also at the "Misfortune of a god" bit...lol

Damn chibi Hayate is so adorable. And u gotta feel bad for him :(...even Mikado did XD

Interesting turn of events with how Mikado didn't tell Athena about this.

This just shows how everything is connected though with Athena and Nagi being Hayate's fated ones hehe

Reading the chapter again, one part that sticks out to me is that Mikado (And Athena back during her own arc as it would happen) refer to the Royal Garden as "theirs." It could be insignificant, but I thought it was something to hold onto. If I were to wager a guess, is it possible the Sanzenin and Tenousu are descendents of the original owners of the Royal Garden.

Do you guys remember if the Jewel Hayate received here was shown in any of the Athena arc chapters? Can't remember. :/Yes. Chapter 262. That jewel is now in the possession of Hayate's brother Ikusa.

EVEN SOMEONE LIKE MIKODO CAN FEEL SORRY ABOUT HAYATE. HIS CONDITION IS MORE THAN PITIFUL.

I just hope he did not give that jewel to his parents like what he did to the ring and Mikado has a great heart.... and the fact that Hayate had three jewels first the missing one second the with his brother and third the one Nagi destroyed

NO, I GUESS THE STONE SANTA GAVE WAS THE ONE HE GAVE TO HIS BROTHER AFTER HIS FIGHT WITH ATHENA.

MAYBE, CONSIDERING THEY WAY ATHENA CALLED HERSELF AS THE GODDESS OF THAT PLACE.  ALSO IT MAY BE THAT THEY ARE WORKING TOGETHER BUT ACTUALLY MIKODO IS TRYING TO SIMPLY FOOL ATHENA.

IN CHAPTER 187, ATHENA SAYS THAT SHE LOOKED AWAY THE GATES TO HER ROYAL GARDEN BEFORE SANZINEN MIKODO SNATCHED IT AWAY FROM HER....... WHICH MAY MEAN THEY ARE NOT TOGETHER IH THIS ANYMORE.

hayate is really unlucky...loved by beautiful girls yet hasn't realized..Now i understand why he is so unfortunate as adult.......the unfortunate rate was way too high in his childhood....even the cold mikado pitied hayate for that misfortune and injustice....not telling about giving the king's jewel to hayate certainly makes things interesting.....looks like hata is revealing all the missing story here

Oh, this changes things. I've been thinking that something was off, but if Old-Man Mikados didn't even tell A-Tan that he gave the stone to Hayate, then it's alright.
