ahahaha this one was a good one. Im glad Hata can recognize that Hinagiku has made the least progress with Hayate despite having the most focus.

This is actually a good thing. The iron rule of all romantic comedies is that the girl to make early progress won't end up with the MC in the end. Late bloomers always win (also for the obvious reason of keeping the romance climax for the end of the story). So as much as no progress with Hina can be frustrating for all Hina supporters, it actually gives some small ray of hope for the future. :)

But despite all that, this was definitely a progress. Hayate was air headed as usual (or maybe not so much? the thought that Hina might like him like Ruka does DID cross his mind at the very least), but Hina was more daring than ever before. :D

As InfiniteDestiny said, the fact that situations like this rarely lead to anything are making the real progress much more valuable and desirable.

Anyway, HayatexHina supporters/shippers were given a really nice Christmas present. :]

Ohh, so Aika's fiancé is her butler. Show his face already >.>

That ending, completely busted.

So about Aika. Is her fiance also her butler? Is EVERYONE'S fiance/husband their butler?

It's Nagi's previous butler, Himegami, obviously. I don't know what his relationship with Aika is, though she clearly wants it to be a romantic one.

While I still hate Hinagiku, this chapter intrigues me. Apparently Hata does see that Hina, despite appearing so often, hasn't progressed at all (I'd even say she's regressing) and hopefully he'll try to break that curse. Of course Hayate isn't gonna "end up" with any of the girls, but it kinda feels like the confrontation between Hayate-butler and Hayate-normal high-schooler is coming. At least I hope it does.

Again, Hayate no Gotoku could be such a great psychological story if it focused about how Hayate, abused terribly by his parents and even chased away by A-tan, seeks shelter with the first girl who helped him in his time of need, doing everything humanly possible to make her not want to throw him away and refusing intimacy with anybody else out of fear of being rejected again.

Great Hinagiku chapter, expected some sort of interruption but didn't think it would be A-tan, well nothing happening is the norm in this manga after all, gives moments like Ruka's tho more value when concerning progress.

Come on a-tan, let them have a little more fun before interrupting.
