I've learned not to be impatient, especially with my manga. Sure, I'd love to see a big arc, but the author wants to create a slow-paced story, so why not let him? I actually really like it when a chapter ends with... Ends like chapter 341. My favourite so far, I think, it's really memorable.
I also expected Maria to catch Hayate in the act or for Hayate to get misunderstood for a stalker... And who knew Hayate remembered Maria's real age. Though I guess after having been threatened like that whenever he implied she's older, anybody would remember.

the reason she is like this is probably because she graduated at a young age and has been taking care of nagi for a while now, i dont think of her as 17 all because she so motherly to nagi and acts like an older sister to hayate and the others even though she is just one year older
also hayate still has some slight attachment for her because he still considers her to be beautiful, it was the same at the start of the manga where he said she was very pretty and kind for helping him when he was freezing in the snow
hayate would never be caught stalking maria, i remember when they parodied metal gear solid where hayate was acting like solid snake and was sneaking around hakuo skillfully
im thinking the next main arc may involve maria and maybe it will show who she really is and how they adopted her when she was little
