Funny chapter, even if this manga is still not going anywhere I feel like the jokes got a bit better after the break. Poor Hayate triggering more and more death flags.

That is the power of Hata Kenjiro - he can create a chapter about nothing in particular and still make it funny or simply good. If you look back, before End of The World arc there was almost no plot at all, only short story driven arcs and the rest was just random chapters with random gags... and he managed to keep it up for like 150+ chapters.

But then Athena and main plot acrs happened and Hata showed that he can also create a fantastic story, so now people can't wait for the continuation of those arcs, including me. :)

The thing is before EotW the comedy chapters were always great with some high quality jokes, something that I couldnt always say for the chapters before the break. But I wont lie when I say that I was already starting to feel a bit bored of the series before Athena appeared. EotW arc gave Hayate that extra flavour which made me regain interest in the series as a whole.

i couldn't agree more, i was mainly reading the manga because its so funny, not for the story-line because it didn't have one and then BOOM he pulls out the Athena arc and then i realized that this manga isn't just a parody and that it has its own story

this chapter was funny to me, for some reason the whole "hayate being in the centre of misfortune" never gets old and always makes me laugh, i look forward to seeing how he gets out of this one

I look forward to the inevitable disappointment. Maybe hayate will live and go on for another 200 chapters.

Another funny chapter; i dnt mind a few more of these chapters until the plot gets started; seeing kid Maria and Hina was a win :P, Hayate always the center of misfortune XD.

Pretty much the same as always Hayate is the center of misfortune.

tbh I didn't find this chapter that funny.
