Finally manga got very interesting now

Honestly pretty silly episode, idk if I really liked it. I'm liking this version of Rei better than the one in the show

An interesting alternate take on Asuka's introduction. She took out the 6th angel immediately, compared to it being a full episode in the anime. Right away, she showed her tsundere personality. Shinji's inner thoughts this chapter was great. "What a bitch." LOLz Anime Shinji would never think that. Manga Shinji is so much better. And Kensuke's thoughts about Asuka were great.

Jeez, of all the dumb ways they could've chosen to introduce Asuka they managed to pick the dumbest.

Well well, quite possibly my fav character in the manga and what an entrance to boot. Asuka went full on amazon mode over those guys. For some reason she seems to be snappier than in the anime. Makes it all the better.

Also again the left to right is getting on my nerves

Holy crap, and I thought Asuka made a great first impression in the anime. One thing I never was too fond of there was that Shinji "helped" her take out the Angel, but here she basically did on her own and really fast as well. I like that Sadamoto kept the cape.



Also, haha at the fight. Asuka kicked the hell out of those grown men. Damn. Her abilities are really being emphasized here, it seems. She be perfect if not for that personality.

                        The manga has taken a very different route to the introduction of Asuka than the anime.  I actually prefer that she took the fourth angel out by herself as it makes it more apparent that she is indeed extremely skilled and individualistic.  The fight scene was hilarious, and perfectly captured her nasty personality.

What a totally ridiculous way to introduce Asuka. Completely gets the tone of the anime wrong.

I just found it dumb how they didn't show Shinji pictures of Asuka before he met her
