lol it was a nice simple and lighthearted manga with a great art and funny story by Akira Toriyama

it tackles corrupt capitalism or too much greed that destroys the environment

Great manga. I love the desert setting with a roadtrip story and lots of interest characters. Definitely getting a Mad Max-feeling.

Interestingly, the most political story of Toriyama's. It's a simple message but it's good (should probably have gotten rid of the king as well tho...)

I especially like how most characters get along pretty quickly. Like, the army and the swimmers are introduces as antagonists, but they're all just people trying to survive in this world. And both play a big part in rescuing the land. Love to see the swimmers living up to their name in the end.

It could definitely have been a bit longer. Would love to have seen some more villagers and maybe some more focus on the human/demon relationship. Still, works well for a 1 volume story.

One of Toriyama's best series (maybe third best after his two big hits). I've always really liked this one, and it was the only one I read a lot as a kid, other than Dragon Ball. It should be more appreciated than it is, but I'm glad the release of the anime and videogame gave some attention to this.

Too short and simply resolved. They were able to do what they did because every bad guy is incompetent, and the conflict exists because no one ever tried to defy the king for so many years.

Eh, not a bad time waster.

That was a good short story with a message. It didn't drag on too long and stuck to its core story, I enjoyed it.

                        ----------------------------------------

The epilogue seemed even shorter than the already pretty short chapters (14pages) but everything came together well with nothing left aside.

4/5

A simple one-shot adventure showing Toriyama's graphical and writing mastery (or abilities if you think this sounds too much). Of course, it's nothing memorable but it doesn't erase the qualities.

This was a fun series great art as always. but in all honesty this manga just got me more excited to see what they do w/ the upcoming anime I'm hoping they expand a bit on the world and story beyond what the manga has done.

Amazing manga. It really was something different, a sort of Mad Max manga.

Overall cute series with interesting characters who work well together and a fun premise. Tbh was waiting for Bezelbub to get some crazy form change but I'm fine with how it ended. Short and sweet!

This was a pretty fun read. Glad that Akira Toriyama is making a full series for this and there's even the movie.

This has huge potential to become a series of its own definitely.

a simple manga with a very nice environmental message, even if with that description it sounds like it did not catch my attention, i really liked it, very recommended if you want a short and good read
