Gunnm Chapter 28 Discussion

Battle Angel Alita, known in Japan as Gunnm (銃夢 Ganmu, literally "gun dream")



Alita doesn't fight using a gun until here, slightly past the halfway point of the entire series.



Oh well, at least it's not a bad Engrish title :) (as opposed to good Engrish titles) (I don't know which are more common) (I'm in no position to judge)

                        She got him, but at a high cost...

So the fight between Zapan and Alita begins. She sets up a decoy playing the same music she played for him the last time they faced off to lure him in. She's able to get the ambush tactic to work and her attack was pretty decent, knocking Zapan down with Ido's hammer weapon. Nice. He still proves to be too powerful and pierces her arm while she attempts to take a shot at him. She cuts off part of her arm since the berserker body started to absorb it. Alita ends up getting pinned from the waist down and decides to cut her body in half to free herself after seeing how close she was to the gun. She manages to get free and grab the gun before Zapan can deal a fatal blow. Zapan is surprised that she managed to dodge his attack and as he looks over to her, she takes her shot and hits him right in the face.

That can't be the end of Zapan tho. He's probably going to evolve again somehow.
