I'm confused with 2 things

Spoiler

- In a world setting where wizards knowledge was so advance they can defy aging and become immortal, you can easily die with alergy. They can attach severed body parts with potion, but somehow the greatest wizard never develop any cure for alergy even thought he almost die from it once.

- The concept of 'no father' in dragon is a bit weird. Apparently a dragon is the fruit of love. No female dragon will get pregnant if she and her partner didn't love each other, yet for no reason at all the male dragon didn't have an ounce of care for the children borne by someone he loves?

I'm aware that many fathers would still abandoned their children even thought these children were created with love. But, to make it a concept mean it's intentional. It's a rule that the childres just raised by the mother.
