I’m here to say, this story really gets better over time, so if it sounds interesting you should give it a chance. The translators/editors are doing a great job! I actually dropped it early in bc the story and MC/ML seemed a little too simple for my liking and the smut just a bit too cringy (if you’ve read Japanese smut, you know how it can be). But after powering through to ch20+ (And skipping some smut bc it wasn’t my thing), I got really caught up in the story. There is a lot of mystery here specifically regarding Spoiler
how the Gods who rule the different countries may have their own drama that translated to the discrimination/racism in the modern world.
[collapse] I always like good world lore, so I’m excited to see how it ends.other reasons to read it: ML is just so in love with MC and after the life MC has had, he just deserves it so much. Also MC had lived a life of discrimination and internalized a lot of it, so it is nice to see him realize that people love him (ML and the original capture targets) despite his differences and that he should actually want more for himself.
