Chapter based on the Raw not the translation here.I give up. I don't mind slow burn stories but this one is just meh, bland. 70 chapters and there's barely any development? No thank you, my patience has its limits.The child is cute, sure but he just feels like a robot at times (bc he does not seem like a normal 2-3 y/o child). It was mentioned in the first few chapters that he's still on diapers because the original Ye Fan did not care about the child and did not teach him properly and then after that, nothing. It was never brought up again, never resolved. Jean Piaget and Erik Erikson will surely throw a fit in their graves if they read about the child's development in this novel.Someone already pointed out that the villains in this novel are just that; cardboard villains. Especially Tang Jin (the one who took the MCs place) she's a villain because she's a spoiled brat but there's not even a proper explanation about the dynamics of the Tang family to explain why she behaves the way she does. It's NATURE AND NURTURE that will affect a person. But then again villains here are just NATURE.MC is just omniponent and she never loses. I get it, she's smart but no amount of IQ will suddenly make you a very good actress. The ML? Well, he's just here, there, and everywhere.
