The translator is speedrunning the TL, but not the worse I've read.

As for the story, there is a hook, consistency and intrigue. The transmigration premise is taken seriously, the bad reputation of his current identity, and the past plays a major role in the story. This story takes it slow, but it picks itself up around chapter +100 with my favorite characters debut, Min Sanha. Spoiler

Han Cha-soo experiences a breakthrough in his character and develops attachments. Min Sanha is a supporting character who brings a different voice to the book, advocating for Han Cha-soo's chaos and love life. He helps Han Cha-soo be himself, "Everyone always asks "How's Han Cha-soo?" No one ever asks "How's Han Cha-soo?" Within the first 100 chapters, MC disassociates with his identity on top of the shenanigans caused by everyone's sincere obsession. MC's Han Cha-soo's biggest critic and takes accountability of his host's behavior.

In a climatic moment, MC breaks through his inhibitions and becomes unhinged as a result. His denseness is highlighted in contrast to his current agency. He now allows good things to come to him because no one is asking him to repent. And I adore that MC cherishes his close relationship with Min Sanha despite the trouble that he drags in.

Later Min Sanha gets semi-relegated to being the joke character, but they still hold concern for each other, if anything the writing development is consistent...

Also if anyone is curious the potential love interests:

Spoiler

There are currently 4,

  1. Jung Yiheon, Guild Master of Heavenly Spirit. Insists on a lifelong contract where he promises to take care of MC's every need, out of gratitude and compensation for saving his younger brother. >Han Cha-soo's employer +Clingy and honest -Min Sanha say's he's not husband material.
  2. Kim Myung-gyeol, Guild Master of Exilis. An S-rank curse sorcerer. Acquainted because of an essential item, but comes to wants to pursue him seriously. +Suave and opportunistic romantic. -Min Sanha and co. do not approve of him.
  3. Baekdam, Vice Guild Leader of Philoso. Is made Han Cha-soo's chargin and prides himself in his abilities. >Han Cha-soo's designated healer +Bratty and insistent +Youngest love interest -Min Sanha disapproves of his mean behavior.
  4. Ki Tae-yeon, Director of the Crisis Management Office, part of the Awakeners' Management Agency. >Mysterious encounter & mentor +Certified DILF (and MC empathizes) +MC prefers older men +Min Sanha hasn't said anything about him as a potential love interest, but Min Sanha and Ki Tae-yeon do have personal beef with each other.

Disclaimer: Subject to Min Sanha judgement, & personal bias.

Before I move on, will Miranda get with both the Lazarus and Nigel? My heart is excited to know about that.

I absolutely loved the redemption story of Unexpectedly Mine.  Taking hated characters and making them lovable was fantastic. I can't wait to read more about River, Cyrus, and Roan!

I love, love, love this series, and this book in particular. I have read all the books at least twice! C.J. Primer is definitely my favorite author on this app. Her story plots are detailed and fun to read. Wish I could write everything I love but I am running out of room. Definitely recommend!!
