I put 5 stars because it deserves that. By the way, this is my first time rating a novel a 5 stars even though I've been a reader for 5 years, it's because I believe nothing is perfect BUT this will be an exception. This novel is too good at portraying human imperfections to the point that the novel seemed perfect. I can only describe this as the best novel I have ever read. I don't think I can ever read another novel because of this. This certainly doubled my standards. I was trying to find a very complex novel that will give me unexplainable feelings and this ONE fit the bill. I love the pacing, plot, vocabulary, slowburn, character dynamics, and their personality. It was realistic despite being a fantasy action novel. The side characters were not just for display BUT they are their own person. It was written as if the novel was simply a novel, no special treatment towards the main characters. I love how equally amazing everyone is. Also, I may get hate if I were to say that my favorite character is Ruger because he did morally evil things but I can't help but admire how well written he was. I admire the author even more tho, they wrote the characters in a way to show how complex humans can be. You cannot fully like or hate characters but as for me, I loved everyone, specially Ruger.
