This is a cute story. It has the type of face slapping where the enemies seem to run up to get face slapped, which honestly doesn't feel very satisfying. There are some villains that I feel sorry for, especially in the rebirth timeline (the brothers, even the heart robbing one, and the original love interest). The author tries to both make the people nuanced but have the MC reject them unconditionally, which just felt awkward. Also, the flashbacks were laughably awkward. The author just forced them in unnaturally whenever the MC was talking to people or wandering around.Overall, the premise is nice. The major plot points feel forced. The characters feel two dimensional. The novel feels a bit amateur. Yes, the story was short, but it could stand being even shorter. I do like the translator's comments at the end of each chapter though.
