If you like politics, betrayal and court matters, you might like this, but it was not to my taste. The MC is always thinking of his country, but he never puts the ML first, or really trust the ML, but pretends all the misunderstandings are because of the ML. He says he loves the ML, but never does anything that makes me believe it to be true. He is either guilty towards the ML or angry at him for most of the book. They do get together at the end, but it’s not really a satisfying journey and I don’t even want to read the extras. Even the summary is slightly misleading. While he makes the general drink wine, he doesn’t regret until the general gets him memory and even then they don’t know about the child.In short, save yourselves a insane and unfulfilling read, unless you really like hard hearted emperors and confused generals, who just do the first thing that comes to their mind without trusting their partner or thinking of the consequences of their actions.rating: 1 star
